The School of Advanced Study is running a series of seminars and discussions with year entitled “Doing The Work?”, focusing on various aspects surrounding Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at SAS.
What works, what doesn’t, what needs improvement are questions staff and students are asking, so that we can come up with a plan and actionable suggestions that can be implemented at SAS going forward.
On Friday, 29th April, there will be a student-led “Doing The Work” session, co-convened by Natalia Fantetti, Christopher Lu, and Conny Kaufmann . The aim is for us students to discuss among ourselves, how the School of Advanced Study is doing in terms of Student Life when it comes to issues such as (but not limited to) age/agism, race/racism, LGBTQ+, disability, accessibility, precarity, and gender. There will be no SAS staff attending this meeting, so participating students can speak freely. We’d love to hear from our distance learning, part-time, and international students at SAS as well, to paint a clearer picture of the overall student experience when it comes to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion issues.
This is your chance to have your say!
To gauge which issues might be top priority to be addressed and help plan the session, the co-convenors have created a survey for SAS students to fill out ahead of the session.
To join the discussion, join us on 29th April 2022, 12pm – 1.30pm via Zoom.
