Information on SASiety’s Common Room

Thank you everyone for popping by yesterday! It was a pleasure to get to know so many of you and see some familiar faces, too. We just wanted to touch base about the space — especially for those that didn’t have a chance to come by yesterday. Please find some useful information below!

  • You can visit our common room (Room 101) whenever you want (as long as Senate House is open)! We’ve emailed you the code for the room to your SAS email. The subject of the email is: “Information on your SASiety Common Room.”
  • We kindly request that you look after the room as if it were your own (and it is your own, after all!) Make sure to clean up any cups or plates you have used and utilise the bins outside the room to your right (there’s a recyclable and a general waste compartment).
  • Please help yourself to tea and coffee and snacks. You can find them on the selves. For milk (we’ve also got oat milk,) feel free to use the products in the fridge that are labelled “SASiety.”
  • The kitchenette is right across Room 101. It benefits from hot water tap (so you never have to wait for the kettle to boil, huzzah!), a fridge, and a microwave. We keep our cutlery and cups in Room 101.

Feedback is always invaluable to us! So, if you could leave us some comments in this form, we’d be very grateful. You can include things that you like about the common room, and things that you think need to be improved. Don’t be shy! You can also recommend items (and snacks!) you think we may need in the room. The sky is the limit.

If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch at sasiety@postgrad.sas.ac.uk and one of our friendly committee members will be sure to get back to you ASAP.

In the meantime, remember that we have our Spook-tacular Games Night on the 27th of October, so be sure to sign up for the event here.
