Around this time of year I’d normally be one of the thousands of people heading to a Christmas market to peruse the stalls and get into the festive spirit, and in my case, always with a cup of mulled wine in hand! We can’t do much about the Christmas markets this year, but we can whip up a batch of mulled wine at home with this quick and easy recipe, and pretend we’re on the Southbank! It’s up to you which wine you choose, though you can get away with something cheap and cheerful, as long as it’s dry. Cheers!

Instructions
- Put all the ingredients together in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer not a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low.
- Allow your mixture to simmer gently over low heat for 10 minutes.
- Turn off the heat and serve - you can either strain the mixture or simply use a ladle to share it out. Feel free to add extra orange rounds or cinnamon sticks to garnish if you’re feeling fancy!
